Free Printables & Activities for Kids
Oh gosh, what a pickle we find ourselves in!
Coronavirus is making us all isolate at home - we will all find ourselves in brand new scenarios and wondering how we stay sane! I don't have children myself, so apologies if my blog doesn't hit the mark fully (interiors and doodles are more my skill set!), but I wanted to try and pull together some fun resources and activities to keep kiddies and little ones occupied during the day. Next I'm working on how to keep the other half in check - maybe a dot-to-dot to teach them what the dishwasher is/does?! I'm happy for mine to stop working from home, already! ;)
Anyhooo... I have collated a small list of bits n bobs I found which I thought you may like - hopefully there's a little something to help everyone, whether that be a printable, indoor crafting for rainy day activities or games that involve your little rascals getting outside into the garden, beach or local field (so important!).

BEAUTIFUL WRITING PAPER
The talented Barbara at @just_acorn has designed the prettiest free writing paper - whether your children want to write a caring letter to a friend or it makes their home schooling time more enjoyable, it's a beautiful, flexible and generous free download.
EVERYTHING YOU NEED!
If you've not stumbled across it already, Inspire My Play is a brilliant website for finding ideas and resources to keep your wee ones occupied. They even have an Amazon (UK and US) shopping list for "lock-down play and craft supplies".
"Hello and welcome to inspiremyplay.com! This little corner of the web is devoted to equipping parents to make the early years fun, creative and enriching for their kids. Whether you are looking to do a few simple play activities at home or searching for toy and gift ideas that support early learning and development I hope you find inspiration here!
I’m Laura, early years teacher for 11 years and mummy to three gorgeous girls aged 5, 3 and 12 months. I’m passionate about the benefits of play in early childhood and am excited to have a little platform to talk about it! Becoming a mum has only reinforced my belief about how crucial these early years are in laying the right foundations for life-long learning."
EASTER FINGER PRINT ART
If it's simple Easter crafts you're looking for; hop on over and see what Casey at Festive Fingerprints has on offer. This whimsical free download above is available via her website here. She's also designed a cute letterhead to go with it - what a wonderful free gift to send during lockdown to spread some cheer!
FREE KIDS JOURNAL PRINTABLE
Have you ever heard of the Colour Chronicles? It's a book full of fun questions which prompt delightful answers and builds in to a lasting memento - for children and their grown up to fill out year on year... well the clever team here have kindly created a fab printable journal - I couldn't describe it better myself, so here is their explanation;
...and perhaps not a bad time to start one of their books too?!
PRETTY CRAFTING
The Sewcial Circle is already one of my favourite boutique brands out there. Run by Katie (who has impeccable taste!), her site is a treasure trove of woolly, colourful and simple crafts kits to keep you all occupied during days stuck at home. These aren't free, but they are brilliantly priced - why not send one to a friend or family in isolation to brighten their day :)
My favourite is the mini pom-pom banner shown above. Learn how to make pom poms as you create your very own cotton banner.
✂️ Includes a paper 4-in-1 Loome tool (after your kit, keep making tassels, friendship bracelets and weavings).
🌈 Choose your favourite colour of merino wool to go inside your kit.
⚡️ Step-by-step instructions for assembling your banner.
💌 You'll also need an iron and scissors to complete this project. These are my favourite sharp craft scissors.
FREE ACTIVITY PACKS
The wonderful team at Activity Village have compiled a fantastic bundle of free downloads - crammed full of various activity ideas for Easter, Mothers Day, a Spring Activity Pack which has puzzles, colouring pages, (fun) worksheets and other activities to keep the kids busy! You'll find bookmarks, jokes, dot to dots, grid copy puzzles and all sorts here.
They also have printables to encourage hand-washing - in several languages too!
PRESCHOOL AGE
If it's preschool, play school or kindergarten age activities you need, then take a look at funlearningforkids.com - they have a huge amount of simple, printable activities that your little ones will love. They have a lot of educational printouts, so if you're a little concerned about keeping up their maths or literacy during the isolation period, definitely check these guys out.
That's it for the moment guys - I need to get back to processing orders and tweaking the new website, but thanks so much for visiting... I hope it's helped a little :)
